sounds like you got a Cx/dx transmission....you were probably used to your Si trans.

Sounds about right with the CX tranny....About 85-90km redlined in 1st gear.

You might get better fuel economy.

I agree with turbo it would be sickening, but you don't think better pistons valves port n polish would help too

First off what engine are you working with?? Im guessing B7??
Bigger cam with the high comp pistons is the best start.......SOHC's love compression.
An SI tranny alone will take 0.8" of your 1/4 time......That right there is worth it.

Well according to his information he has a 93 Si. So that trans swap he just did just lost him .8 on his 1/4 time. Hence him being suddenly surprised with his long gear ratios. Should have done some research before you had you transmission swap you just lost significant power.

on the other side of the coin the Cx trans is way more gas efficient. I have had both and the Si is high revving for 401 speeds. 3200 Si compared to 2500 Cx both in 5 gear obviously.

Well what kind of D16??? The A6 or the Z6??
If you have a SI then its the Z6. And like I said earlier, if you replaced your SI tranny with the CX.........you just made your car slower. And yes .8" seconds is a'lot when it comes to racing.
