At this point in time, I would seriously consider getting the K swap instead of B series. You can pick it up for very little more over the B series and becides, for one: you can get a 6 speed tranny, 2. your motor will be a lot newer than your average B series out there...

yeah it would... I dont think efsir realizes the actual costs of a k swap. Sure its a great swap but its still expensive. The engine can be picked up for just a bit more than a full b16 swap but then you have to piece the rest together and there is some customization involve. You cant do any swap and cheap out and if anyway says they can do a k swap into a ek for cheap they are full of $hit. Done right its going to be high 4 figure digits. My b16 ran me about 5g and thats fully build with cams, upgrade valvetrain, lsd, stage 1 clutch, exedy flywheel, tuned ecu, shave head, mild port, 3 angle valve job etc. You really need to think about what you want. If I could do it again, I would go ls/vtec and turbo it.

right now im looking at a b16 mint cond with 120k , s1 tranny, no grinds, stage 3 act clutch, lightened flywheel. Probly would either rebuild the engine and put it in (since im mid d16 swap right now, but it was in desperate need, my current engine is dead basicly). I would want to swap in the summer coming up or somthing like. Anywho, comes with all that for 900$, I am also looking at a LSD tranny, and looking to take the stage 3 clutch and putting it in that one instead, i think that would work, the both are b16 trannys. Then i would sell b16 s1 tranny and make some money back hopefully. Also i need an alt and driveshafts, but overall i dont think its to bad a deal for 900$. I deffinatly do not want to get into a k series, to much customization and work to put into a civic, if i wanted something more powerfull then 200 horse, i wouldnt be putting it into a civic.
You said you would re do as a turbo, but theres ALOT more work into a turbo'd civic isnt there. I mean you can cheap do it, but in the short run youll go fast and be gone through an engine in a summer if that. To properly do it you need ALOT of work and a decent amount of customization no?
let me know what you think. thanks for the input

^ for your turbo response... not really. I would have just ran it on mild boost. no more than 7lbs therefore it will last longer and be a little more reliable. I dont drive the **** out of my car so I think a mild turbo set up would last a bit for me.
