B and D series VSS (vehicle speed sensor)

i gues this is the right section as it does sit on the tranny.

well, mine hasnt worked for a while now, so i went to my buddys shop becuase i was too lazy to go to standard auto wreckers.

so he asked me for my old one, but my old one is broken so i only had the top part with the sensor on it. he pulled one off a b series motor for me. i asked are u sure this will work? and he said yeah they look the same. so i was looking atthe b series one and i noticed that the gear itself was so big. so i kept thinking and i was sure it wouldnt fit so i found this on the net.

B-series vs D-series VSS

they ARE interchangeable but only with some slight modification.

anyone with a wacky speedo, this is for u

That's a helpful link you have there. Well, my uncle is in need of replacing the vehicle speed sensor of his vehicle because of certain problems on it. But he was wondering if the sensors from the b series would fit into his vehicle because he did found a sensor from a b series near a local junkyard. Anyway, I think this link would come in handy for him and I'm gonna share it to him so he could already try to fit the sensors. Thanks for sharing it.
