If you dont have the $$$ then dont cheap out on parts

What you can do, go to a machine shop. get ur stock flywheel machined and lightened

I got mine ligtened by 2lbs, plus resurfacing, all for $50

get Fidanza Aluminum flywheel. But $50 for a shaved oem flywheel sounds like a deal to me.

It also depends on what kind of driving is the car going to see mostly

Like a daily driver, I wouldnt suggest a light wight racing flywheel, the revs will drop way too quick while shifting in traffic.

I myself have the Fidanza 7.5lbs also and its not bad at all. You'll get use to it after a while. Whats your budget cause you can get the Exedy stage 1 clutch and the Fidanza 7.5lbs flywheel for $500, but thats excluding the install labour.

Guys I have a 00 Si, and I'm swapping in a JDM d15b.......since i have the tranny out, I was thinking on changing the clutch and flywheel sametime. I'm looking on EBAY right now, and see a EXEDY clutch kit + Fidanza 7lbs flywheel for only $240 "BUY IT NOW"

Does that sound right? yay's? nay's?

I've had my buddy machine all my flywheels since I've known him. The best way to go.
But if your engine is completely stock just keep your stock flywheel and get a Exeddy stage 1 clutch. Buying a lightned flywheel will actually make you loose HP on a basically stock motor.

Yay!
The best place to get a clutch cheap.
Just make sure the seller has good feedback....and if possible try to find a seller in Canada so you don't have to pay a border fee from the States.

I got my clutch/ flywheel off eBay. Exedy stage1 with 11 or 10.5 lbs flywheel. Had it since June no problems yet!

scrid3r sounds good. I'm tempted to do the same thing. I'm 'bout to swap in a d15b, and was thinking to get a stage1 clutch and flywheel....How much did you get yours for?

And also, I'm noticing that flywheels range in weight. I see 7 lbs, 9lbs, 10 and 11. What's the adv/disadv to a lighter flywheel?

if you will keep the car stock, do not bother with lightweight flywheel. i got 11lbs or so, if u get 7lbs flywheel you will actualy loose power to the wheel if you are stock.
with shipping and border fees i paid roughly $320'ish.
bought it from seller "Gripforce-clutches"
srr took so long to reply lol havent checked this thread for a bit

question, when you say stock, do you literally mean nothing modified? Would a lightened flywheel only benefit me once I turbo? Or would I/H/E make a difference?
