93 civic si won't move
SO I had the motor and tranny out to do the heasd gasket and timing kit and we put it all back together and took it for a 5 min test drive..everything was fine..then on my way home about 10 minutes into the drive, I was shifting into 2nd and heard a bang and the car stopped pulling.
So we thought it was the tranny lsd that blew out so we swapped another tranny into it and same problem occured..with the engine running you can put it in any gear without holding the clutch in (very minimal grinding) and the car doesn't move...am I looking at a new clutch or?

I'd look at the clutch system/components. Look at the clutch itself, the disc and pressure plate.
Before you do that, make sure the clutch slave cylinder is actuating properly.
Something is definitely wrong if you can put it in any gear with the clutch supposedly 'engaged'...
Didn't you check or look at the clutch when you swapped trannys?
