2006 Honda Civic DX, Manual 5 speed--Transmission issue??
My car has been making somewhat of a grinding noise between 1-3 gears. When the car is moving and I let go of both clutch and gas, there is a loud sound. When I down shift I hear the same sound.
After getting 3 different mechanics (including a honda dealership) to take a look. They all said it was time to replace the clutch. I just got my car back and its still making the same sound with a brand new clutch. everything was replaced. clutch plate, bearing, pedal, etc. Maybe its not a clutch issue. Can anyone shed some light on what this might be? |

probably the input shaft bearing. And shame on the guy who replaced the clutch and didn't check the input shaft before re-installing the trans if that's the case.
