ouch

5k a year for a del sol, that aint worth it. If it were me I'd bus it until the rates are more reasonable. Best of luck with your insurance.

If you think insurance will be better on a TSX you're mistaken. You're a high risk driver.... have fun with the 88 civic 4 doors for awhile.

There is really no point spending lots and lots of money on a car, any car for that matter, and in doing so, you are suffering a financial lost in a great deal.

If it is giving you too much headache, step down a level and get something really, really cheap. Build up your good record then if you want to play with cars again, do so then.

you're still in alright shape...a guy at school i know is a high risk driver also. He "was" driving an EG coupe at 5700 a year....speeding ticket...now around 8000...no more car.

post a pic of what your "race car" looks like

why would you spend that much money a year? i'd park the car for a few years spend the money on mods, or better yet save up for a nice car when my record gets better, or save up for a house even wiser...

when you're paying more a year in insurance than your car is worth something is wrong with you... it's a waste of money... and look what it got you? hassles, maybe you need a new insurance company... and possible some driving lessons

Man I don't see this being too much of a big deal.. Get the car safetied and go to an appraiser that you know.. or in this case go to the guy that TeamRukus Knows. I once bought an ALtima and the blue book value as too high so I too it to an appraiser who signifcantly lowered the value of the car on purpose to lower the amount of taxes I would have to pay on it. You could do the same. Just get the guy to value your car at a reasonable rate. Of course if you get into an accident then you won't get full value, but in the long run who cares, cause as it is now your getting screwed.

"My back is fu(ked, physiotherapy is overrated and doesnt do shlt so I stopped going last week"

Physiotherapy isn't like popping a painkiller, it isn't an instant fix. Go to physio as often as they'll pay for it unless you want your back problems to come back every year or so.

As for getting the car appraised alot less, im not gonna do that cause then if it ever gets stolen or anything im ****ed... if they do raise it im just gonna drive it the rest of the summer... store it for the winter again and sell it begining of summer next year....

and about physio, i went 3 times a week for about a month and a half then i stopped going because all i did everytime i went there was the EXACT same thing he had me do at home... which was pretty much stretch my back and arms a few times a day while im watching tv or something just stretch out... so all i was doing there 3 times a week was pretty much showing him i still know how todo the stretchs lol.. i dunno maybe i just ended up getting a bad therapist.... it just wasnt for me i guess... i still do all the stretching exercises they made me do so hopefully it gets better....

i get the car back friday... should look pretty good.. i was there today and left after it just got finished with the coats of blue and the airbrush guy was taping off where he was gonna start his work... he show'd me a ruff sketch he did on paper of what he's gonna do and i think it should look good... im gonna take a bunch of pictures this weekend....

anyone know a good parking lot or something for a night time photoshoot??? preferably somewhere pretty lit up...

and "stock94block" theres some pictures of the delsol up at www.elistiansserver.com ... just look in the delsol sale section... keep in mind that when the car was stored for the winter and it was in pieces lol... its all good ill get some pics up this weekend that all the flamers can have a field day with...

Its no big deal to get your car appraised. When my car turned 20 years old my company told me I had to have it appraised and saftied if I wanted to continue the coverage. I had it done, didnt affect my rates whatsoever.

Actually there is no difference. When a car is 20 years old it is considered to be a "classic" when it becomes 30 years old its considered to be an "antique".

So my insurance company also believed my car is worth more than what I'm paying for.

Wait a minute your right, there is a difference. The difference is the reason they thought my car was more valuable.

Didnt realize I had a couple of typos. They were both in the same word too! No one can accuse you not paying attention.

try another insurance company. paying 5000$ a year for a 3000$ (in there eyes) doesnt make much sence. i would either sell it or park it and buy a beater till your drivers rating goes back up. my insurance comapny knows about all my mods which is pretty much the same as your car (ie body kit, rims, custom interior, stereo) and i pay 800$ a year. once they finish paying for your car switch companies

its not that i havent checked around... its this high because im considered high risk until next year...... and $800 a year seems a little unbeleivable for decent coverage... like what are you covered for and how high is your deductable lol?? what company??
