Yet Another Bad Letter From My Insurance Company! (Picture)

Well this royaly sucks.. Ever since this old lady smashed my delsol it seems like everything that possibly could have happen to me thats bad has already happened... Ive ended up having to pay almost $2000 to get my car fixed to avoid my insurance company writing it off and giving me only $3000 for it... Now I have to get a alignment and all that crap down too but thats the least of it... My back is fu(ked, physiotherapy is overrated and doesnt do shlt so I stopped going last week... And now of all things this.. All this cause some old lady smashed into me.. Wasnt even my fault... I thought your insurance company is suppose to be on your side lol... Anyways after the lady hit me they sent a insurance adjuster out to look at the damage.. Now just my luck the insurance adjuster goes back to the insurance company and tells them quote "Its a heavily modified race car!" what the hell is he talking about a heavily modified race car!! its not a race car!! anyways now the other day im home and the door bell rings.. I goto the door and its registered mail from my insurance company.. and im like ok this cant be good.. now i go read it and my heart stopped!! I included a link to the letter below.. go read it.. anyways now I know my insurance is gonna go threw the roof... I already pay $5800 a year for a 1993 Honda Delsol because of my driving record im on high risk insurance... Thats when they thought my car was stock... Now after its apparaised and stuff im screwed... even if they appraise it low im screwed.. look how much i pay already... If they raise it anymore on me I think im going to have to get serious about selling my car now.. I just cant afford it with my driving record... the funny thing is my insurance was suppose to go down to $2000 a year from $5800 a year.. its suppose to drop in about 6months... i guess not anymore.. Oh well at least im gonna sell it with all fresh paint and metal welded in... not to metion some crazy airbrushing im getting down... Im gonna take my car for a nice photoshoot this weekend and ill post some pics... anyway here read the letter... and flamers can keep there mouth shut,,,,

its your own fault u are paying for these repairs since u failed to tell the insurance company that ur car was modified and worth more than book value...you tried to cheat the system and it caught you with a vengance...physio is not overrated at all, I spent a whole summer in it after gettin hit by a drunk driver and from may to sept my progress was awesome, I was back to 95% of what I was before the accident...so dude, u kinda phucked yourself cuz u had a bad driving record and didnt wanna pay anymore for a modified car listed on your insurance

I personally feel no pain for your situation, u made your bed now sleep in it...this aint a flame, its just the way it is

hehehe ok man... because i didnt tell them it was modified?? yes they new it was fu(kin modified so chill the **** out.. i told them about everything from my strerio to the body kit to the rims to the paint... they knew about all that crap when i signed up with them.. thats one of the main reasons it was $5800 a year almost $500 a month... the reason there doing this crap is because the ****ing insurance adjuster word for word made them think i had a ****en race car... and yes i did make my own bed a couple years ago when i just got my licence i ****ed up with a couple tickets.. a yellow light ticket and driving an unsafe motor vehicle.... i personnaly dont give a fu(k if you have sympathy for me or not but i dont think its right that im about to pay who knows what maybe $7000 a year for insurance...

thats the breaks...cryin about its not gonna do nothin, sell it and get something you can afford...

also, if u had the car appraised in the first place for the value of it they wouldnt have tried to write it off for 3grand...try other high risk companies and see what they have to say for insuring your modified car...now u know u gotta get that ish appraised for a proper insurance adjustment...and I guess with the money u have saved over the years with false sense of coverage u can now pay back into insurance coverage if do choose to continue to drive the car

i personally dont know anyone that has got there car appraised for the insurance company... like ive heard of it being done but never thought of doing it i didnt think i needed to... i already told them everything that was done thats why i thought it was so much and if anything that would have just made them raise it even more... my fault i guess... i dunno im gonna see what they say after then im gonna call around more places if they raise it alot.. either that or just sell it because i cant afford it in the situation im in right now... we'll see....

u get your car appraised if u think/know its worth more than the book value the insurance company would give u if they were to write off the car...sure u pay more in premiums and whatnot but if the unfortuneate were to happen u would be covered to the full extent of your car's worth...I know my car is worth 2grand to insurance so I dont care cuz thats all its really really worth but I make sure if the write it off I keep the car with the full payout (done this before, it works)

so all u cats with "show cars" or cars in amazing shape for their year or full of mods get that ish appraised or u can roll the dice and hope not to hit the snakeyes

the way i see it nothing is wrong here.

you can can pass safety no problem correct?
aslong as your car can pass all the safety items its considered LEGAL. (look at the back of a safety cert you will know what i am talking about)

as for appraisal i am thinking they need the full appraisal which is i believe 4 pages rather then the 1 paper appraisal issued by some.

if you want i can get it appraised for you. i work with a guy that has the qualifications to appraise a car so he will tell you what the car is worth in terms of book valuve after the mods.
pm me if you need help.

wouldnt getting your car appraised then sent to your insurance company cause a pretty big hike in your premium?

and they would only give you 3 G's for a del sol!? i know a guy that wrote off a 91 hatch (2 years ago) and he got 3000 for it.

It doesnt say it in the letter... After the adjuster came and looked at the car then went back to the insurance company.. The guy ive been dealing with for this claim called me back and said the adjuster told him quote "It was a heavily modified RACE CAR" .... which it is not lol.. a race car...
