Will aftermarket bumpers affect insurance coverage?

I am due for a visual inspection. I have a mild bodykit (Kombat). Have no performance modifications. Will the insurance underwriters refuse coverage? It is my first car, not too fond of the bodykit, but also not too fond to make it stock.

alot of the time on cars 10yrs or older they require a visual inspection so they know what exactly they are insuring (a **** box or not)...they come take pictures, not any damage, rust etc on the car...km's alarm system mods etc and they send it back to the company for their file...so if/when a claim is made they can have a base for a claim decesion

my insurance only took pics of my car when i first got it insured... exterior only... no interior or engine bay pics... which to me would be the first place to take pics... interior mods and engine mods are usualy the reason why a car gets broken into but i guess they don't see that.. they just want to see the condition of the exterior incase of accident.. but i have no idea if it will effect your coverage

^^^ Good point .. I like in Buttfaq nowhere and they Allstate came to take pictures of my car.

Its just used as a base so if you ever make a claim they will usually have records of the condiiton that car was in previously.

Every time I've switched vehicles I've just called up the insurance company and told them my new model. They give me my new rates and that's it. Never gotten pictures taken or anything.

I got pictures taken of my car just when it was all modified, all they asked how much the stereo and wheels cost me. And this year, they took pics of the '05 Tacoma as well, again they asked how much the wheels/tires are worth.

YEAH IF U HAVE TO TAKE YOUR CAR INTO AN INSPECTION STATION TO TAKE PICS OF YOUR CAR THATS JUS PROOF THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS ACTUALLY INSURING SOMTHING..THEY WILL ALWAYS INSIST TO GIVE U THE LEAST AMOUNT OF $$$OF WHAT YOUR CAR IS LISTED IN THE BLACK BOOK OR BLUE BOOK VALUES..USUALLY THEY WILL ASK IF U HAVE STEREO OR RIMS/TIRE MODIFICATIONS CUZ USUALLY THATS WHAT GETS STOLEN OR WHAT PEOPLE DO INSURANCE SCAMS ON ...SO YEAH !!
