Why didn't I pay deductaqble!

ok, I hit a bimmer(X5 2003) from behind and it was all my fault!
he had to change all his bummper and two mufflers! total of allmost $7000, so the insurance paid for it! I had full coverage with $500 deductable!

WHY my Insurance didn't go up!
why didn't I have to pay $500?????
again, WHY my Insurance didn't go up!

Did you claim for damage? If you did, you should have paid ... not sure why - He claim through his insurance company and you through yours - So he wouldn't have paid and if you did, you should have paid and your insurance shoud go up on renewal

lol it seems like you're complaining!! run with it as long as you can cuz insurance companies never mess up when you owe them money... just when they owe you money...

actually the deductible is paid to the shop who does the repairs, not the insurance company

yeah, cuz it's like they'll pay for all but $500 of the damage.... so if you have a $500 deductible and it's $7000 damage you give the shop 500 and they'll give the shop the other 6500... but I know some shops that will pay your deductible for you.... seems like a good deal to me!

well, theirs your answer .....if you had submit a claim for your own vehicle you would have paid a deductible for your damage - your company only covers your damage, not the BMW'- that is covered through his company, and since your at fault, he did not pay a deductible ...... Does your company know about the accident? If so, get ready to bend over ....

If your company doesn't know about it then your rates will not change, if they do know about it...like i said, bend over ...... (although I have no idea of you age, and driving record, so it may not effect you at all)
