Where do you leave your ownership?

I used to leave mine in my car along with the insurance and all. Supposily if someone steals the car, they can transfer blah blah which I believe is impossible considering that the car was reported and all.
I now leave it all in my wallet. I'm thinking about putting it back in my car b/c if I lose my wallet one day, im ****ed.

Where do you leave yours?

i have mine in my pocket..
if you feel scared of that.. you can always just make a photocopy of it and leave it in the car.

but yeah, mine sits in my pocket, i never leave it in the car.

definately in the car. Carrying extra crap in my wallet I don't always need sucks, especially with 2 vehicles. If you're insecure about leaving it there, tuck it in a secret spot that can be easily retrieved later...

"Madame, can I please see your vehicle ownership & insurance documents?"

"Sure officer, just give me a second while I disassemble my doors.."

Same here and yes it's still legal. Car rental places do this also.

photocopy version in the car, just in case it needs to be shown... if you leave the original in the car, if your car is stolen, you're ****! they can forge your signature and transfer the car quickly with fake info... and then ship out your car

original, i keep it home...

simple as that =)

all you have to do is detach the part of the ownership that has all the signature areas for selling the car, etc.

that doesnt have to be with you and i even think it says to detach it on my ownership

insurance should always give you more then one copy so that shouldn't be a problem.
