you only have 15days plus 15days grace for a total of 30days to file for a court date and if you dont do that then its an automatic guilty plea and you are to pay in full and accept all demerit points...and if you dont pay that in a timely manner your license will be suspended.

yes it will affect your insurance, the moment your insurance company finds out, most likely around renewal, unless your company gives you a pass for your first ticket...if this is your first, but that is rare.

March or May? That's as much as 6 months ago. I wouldn't be worrying too much about demerit points considering your licence has probably been suspended. I would go to the nearest MTO and find out if you can still be driving.

X2!
As of now your suspended. When I was younger I forgot to pay a ticket. And the next time I got pulled over(which was 4months later) I had my liscense suspended on the spot, forced out of my car and had to leave it on the side of a busy road, had to ask a stranger to drive my EG to a safe spot, got the hugest fine.......and had to pay a'lot to get my car back on the road.
Good Luck.

I think now with a suspended lic. the vehicle your driving is also impounded for x # of days? BTW There's interest on the ticket fine amount for not paying on time.

Oh if your lic is indeed suspended it's another $150 to get reinstated plus the extra insurance rate since your lic was suspended plus the speeding ticket.

wow. thats fcked...even tho im in high school i drive alot to work and school and cops inbetween...freaking me out. i just had a look at the ticket, it says 103$ total payable. so im guessing 103+150(taxes, for getting suspened lic back on road) right?

T-Mack - by huge fine do u mean a huge fine because you were caught driving?

$103 if you had paid it on time. I believe there is a small additional charge on top of that.

I find it hard to believe they you haven't received anything in the mail about the ticket. Check with the MTO. You may have slipped through the cracks and they haven't suspended you yet. On the document that they should have sent you called "Notice of Fine and Due Date" it will have all the info you need. It also outlines what will happen if you failed to pay it by the due date, including suspension of your licence and informing a credit bureau and colection agency to collect the fine.

I got a ticket for driving with a suspended liscense, plus paying the intial ticket with intrest, plus paying to get my liscense back from being suspended. It was a big pain in the ***. And that was a'wile a'go when I was younger.......I have never forgot to pay a ticket since then.

I forgot to pay a ticket (after the judge gave me 90 days to pay it (did you know you can request a longer period to pay?)) Then I got stopped by the OPP and my lic. was suspended. LOL Whoops, I didn't know.
She told me to DRIVE back to work, and go DRIVE at lunch at get it taken care of. (I got stopped at 10:00am.) She took my cell number and called me the next day to see if I did it or not. I was surprised she let me go with my lic. in hand.

Question,

My friend is looking for a car. So nicely customed civic or whatever, he had a chat with the cop about modifications and the law, the cop said that you cant mod your car in or out O_O... new law or something. can someone confirm this? or a link to show me where it says that.

So you know your licence is suspended, yet your still driving around? Now that you have this warning ticket, you won't get off next time. And it's now been several months that you've been driving around like this, have you paid the ticket or the $ to get your licence reinstated? You do realize that if you get in an accident with no licence your insurance will more then likely not cover you? And you could probably be sued for not having any insurnace because you dont have a valid licence.

Im sorry but people like you dont deserve the privilege of having your licence. You are so ignorant and irresponsible.

You dont know me so dont judge me.

I assumed me lic was suspended, i work like everyone else but i do have to go to school too. and i did save up money to pay off this ticket. this just happened before i could. and btw my buddies was more than happy to go to bank that night and give me enough to pay it off.

im not beening ignorant, but i know how irresponsible my actions was. but making mistake is part of life and im just a teenager going through it. so before you comment something thats not even constructive just keep it to yourself.

yeah im pretty sure IF i had an accident i wouldn't even be insured. but know you i took chances like every other teenage idiot, just i didnt have an accident yet cause i didnt drive like every other teenage idiot. i drink but i dont drive i give my keys to my friends to put it somewhere. i get high i dont drive. i avoid bad drivers, i stop on stop signs. i needed to get to school to work to home, you know or else i couldn't even pay the fine. and i aint asking my parents nor my friends for cash cause this was my fault. my friends offered me cash after i told them the story.

dude i know what i did and stuff, i took chances and now im going to pay it all off tomorrow. sounds good with you? it sure takes a load off my chest.

but all you had to do to avoid all of this is read that back of the ticket!
you use the teenager excuse a lot. I had 2 tickets before I was 18 and I managed to pay them on time by reading the back of them..... and yes I was going to college (paying for it myself) and had a part time job.
