is speeding wrong because it just is? or is speeding wrong because it's dangerous?
Thats a rhetoric questions, of coarse speeding is wrong because it increases the chance of an accident...
If the person has never caused an accident and he speeds all the time then why do u care if he speeds? to note the 105 in a 60 think about it: if that sign that says "60 begins" was just 100 meters further then it would only be 25 over.

i usually go 10-15 and sometimes 20-25 if i m late , however i know that i m taking the risk so i make sure there isnt cops around
Now look at what u just said" you'll speed but make sure there's no cops around": shouldn't you be looking for pedestrians and other cars because the problem of speeding is that it makes driving more dangerous?
the fact that people dont speed because they're afraid of cops is what im getting at here, i just think its very contradictory.

just because someone hasnt have an accident in 19 years doesnt mean he is an expert driver, He may of be lucky

however if thats the way you think then we should be speeding and say i never got into an accident, then everyone would do it and say the samething. However by everyone doing it we increase the risk of accidents in the city.

In i m correct your theory is , we should wait until he has an accident to tell him to stop speeding. Sorry man but it doesnt work like that.

We can not wait until people start having accidents to enforce a law. Just like he has the desire to speed i m sure many of the drivers out there do to. however they smart enough to know the risk for a ticket

Indeed, we do need speed limits, people cant just be driving around at what ever speeds they want, i guess what im against is people saying "he go what he deserved" when he hasn't actually hurt any one, yes he was speeding, but speeding is only bad because it increases the chance of an accident, but if he didnt cause an accident then in my eye's he didnt do anything wrong... but it really doen't matter, every one has their own view and me being a stubborn person, i will never be convinced otherwise.

ofcourse i m looking out for pedestrians. But you are missing the point i m speeding at 20-25 but this is on the highway, or streets that are over 80 .

I guess the main point is the risk of an accident if you are speeding. Everyone once in a while takes that risk for different reasons (late for work, **** of, habit , others) but by someone taking the risk he is putting others in risk too therefore there are laws that need to be enforce to reduce this risk. it is impossible to eliminate speeders however with this law you are reducing it

That's got to be the funniest thing I've ever heard. So, I'm gonna go out tonight and fire a few clips into the air with my semi. But as long as I don't hurt anybody in the process, I should not be arrested.
Listen to yourself, dude..

Let me say that I agree, 45 over the speed limit demonstrates no regard for law, period. But, if you consider the fact that for example, in Mississauga, going east on 403 and getting off at Mavis exit, and continuing on the Centre View drive, there used to be a 60km/h speed limit. From what I was told, a lot of people that work at the Mississauga city hall near by got cought doing over 40 km/h speed limit. Guess why the speed limit there now is 80km/h???
The road I was cought on should be an 80 zone. I was going with the traffic flow, was it my lowered civic that got picked an accident, could be, could very well be.
