.
honestly, statistically speaking, how many accidents in Canada would list 'mechanical failure due to modification' as the cause of an accident? there is no basis for claiming that a modified suspension is a cause of accidents. in toronto, goddamn cabbies are the cause of accidents haha j/k

None.

Those stats aren't tracked. Crash due to mechanical failure is not broken down into modified/unmodified categories, nor is crash due to loss of control broken down into loss of control caused by mods or not involving mods.

That doesn't mean that poorly done or inappropriate vehicle modifications don't play a role in certain crashes. We've all seen cars with stupidly done mods, or with well-done mods that might work great on a smooth race track but are detrimental to a car's handling out on real-world streets.

i didnt know missing front reflectors was a ticketable offence. that's just a liability in the event of an accident though. i plan to stay away from all kind of cosmetic crap that may make me more liable in the case of unplanned events like accidents. tickets aren't the only thing to consider on the road... like potholes, as mentioned. i hit unexpected potholes today and i was like WTF as my head went thru the ceiling like dino's thru the roof of the flintstones car. woulda been some damage there if my rims were big and my car wuz low

but since others may actually take your 'facts' as actual facts, I will present to you a simple scenario that even your feeble mind will comprehend.

i have in my hand 3 cans. 1 full can of coke (representing a stock cat), 1 empty can of coke (representing a hollowed out cat), and lastly an empty open can of peas or something larger than a coke can (this will represent a heat shield).

now, i can tap the full can and determine it's full. i can tap the empty can and determine it's empty. now, place the open can of peas over the full can and tap it, then over the empty can and tap it. can you tell by tapping the can of peas which can is under it? the full can or empty can?

lol youuu, smart guy you ahaha good analogy

ok now you made me go look up a cross section pic.

the air between the heat shield and cat body would make it sound hollow either way.
but anyone hollowing out a cat is a dummy anyways, the increase in chamber volume would cause a reduction of velocity of gasses, essentially creating a lake in the middle of a rapid stream... that would slow down flow and just be totally counter productive. It's a terrible thing to do if you want performance.
\

thats y some people juss connect a straight pipe for direct flow and cover it with a cat heat sheielf to make it look like a cat

Dude, what the heck are you trying to say? This has got to be the funniest post I have ever seen on any forum. You make no sense whatsoever.

Who cares, idk how some ppl say they always get pulled over and etc.

Ive been pulled over for in my eg or ek maybe three times ever. As long as you pass emissions, have seatbelts, and is safe to drive (no ****ty tires and etc). your good to go.

now go gut, kswap, and slam an ek

kthxbye
