Went to court today for my tints.....

Went tonight (7pm) cop showed up. Played nice nice.....he remembered me. Said I was the most polite one he pulled over that day. Told him that I pulled off the front tints (they were turning purple and were scatched anyways), and that I had some digital pics to prove it. Also told him the car was outside if he wanted to see it for himself. He took a look at the pics and asked me what I wanted him to do. I told him to get the ticket droped.....he said "how about a suspended sentence"....I thought a bout it and said..."no fine? (it was a $110 ticket).......he thought for a minute and said...."since you were polite to me then, and today, .....ok.".

Saved a fine ($110). Cop was cool.......tomorrow if I have time, I'm off to get them re-tinted. ($50). I was going to get them re-tinted anways. Maybe I'll drive around for awhile and see if I like it without tint on my front windows........:working:

Told you that being nice to cops pays off.

A suspended sentence means no fine anyways. What it is, is that as long as you don't commit that same offence within 30 days then you won't get the charge.

And congrats on your victory!

That's great news Al.

I wasn't so lucky with the last car I had with tint... five years ago.

$105 -tint + $325 -speeding (in a K-car )

It does not mean no fine......they still wanted to fine me $40. I looked at the cop and waited for him to say something.....he did.....and I walked out without paying a cent.

Even if you get a suspended sentence.....it does not mean you pay nothing.....it's up to the court to decide if you will get a reduced fine or just walk away.

In my case, I'm $110 richer.....that is until the wife finds out. LOL

PULOVR, you could have also just showed the prosecutor the pics, he will note it down and when your name is called to go up, he will just tell the judge that you have since fixed/replaced your tint and wish for the charge to dropped....and it will.

you could have not been friendly with the cop, but u did ( good )

congrats btw

i had quite alot of tint charges, that were all dropped with the 1 same picture

Leave the tint off. I took mine off a couple of months ago, and now I like it better without the tint. Looks more clean.
