my sis is looking to buy a used car and found a 2002 accord v6 fully loaded with 9k going for $22,000....but its been in an accident and the guy told her that both doors had to be replaced....

i also told her to get it checked for frame/structural damage..

my question is...is the factory/dealership warranty voided when a vehicle's been in an accident????

since the car is sooo new!!!!

need to know quick cuz this kinda deal might not last

think it only voids whatever you replaced.

should still cover whatever is on the books but you better check

i found out from Honda Canada...they said it is possible for the warranty to be voided if the insurance company considers the car unsalvagable/total write off, they will then tell the district manager for honda and then he will tell the dealers that the warranty is voided.

to find out if your car still have factory warranty just phone up honda canada customer relations dept. with the VIN # and they will be able to tell you if your car is still under factory warranty
