Updates on my civic..

Well I called the shop today, and the damages are $4000 something. From an estimated $2500....

Beh whatever, I don't really care how much it's gonna cost cause it's not coming out of my insurance anyways
The other party's insurance is most likely gonna go up cause she was at fault for the accident.

Good news is I might be getting the car back by the end of this week

Here's some pics for you guys if you didn't see it yet.

Well from what I can tell the drivers side quarter panel (entire unit) is messed, so is the rear bumper cover, rear tail light, rear trunk cover and a few other cosmetic things like the plastic moulding etc.

I can actually see it around $4000.00 easily, especially if the bumper itself is damaged..

What you gotta watch out for is structural damage

Regards,
OK

The impact was probably at 100km/h
I was braking, and came to about 20km/h, and the girl must've been going atleast 70km/h
Traffic ahead was getting busy so that's why I slowed down that much.

I hope there's no other problems A friend of mine backed into a pole, it didn't look like there was much damage, just the bumper was dented in a bit. When he got it checked, his trunk was pushed in so the cost to repair it was about $2000.

I talked to fat richard and he told me to get altezza's and all this other stuff, but nah... I'd have to go talk to the guy personally if I want to try and claim all this stuff. Not gonna bother.

I just want my car back so everything is back to normal. Can't wait to wash, wax, put on my new air freshener, and drop it.

Thomas man! I thought at least you'd pick up some basic mods out of this.. ie. Red/White tails, new bumper w/ lip etc etc..

Yeah, but thats considered insurance fraud since he didn't have the mods to begin with... By doing that all people are doing are raising YOUR premiums on average because of this type of fraud.

There is a guy around town here in Burlington who has a HUGE Jeep! He has 35" tires on there, 4" lift (at least) and everything else under the sun.

You know how he got it? He and a local Jeep company here (the only aftermarket Jeep company in Burlington who shall rename nameless because of lack of physical proof) wrote up false reciepts which he presented to his insurance company and they paid for everything..

We're talking about least $5000.00 worth of mods here...

Now take that on a national scale, every lil punk out there that does that..

How much do the insurance companies end up paying out? HUGE!

In order to remain solvant what do they have to do, raise your premium...

People only hurt themselves long term when they do that kinda stuff.

Regards,
OK

Meh, nothing so far. I'm not going through insurance, so I'm just going to wait a week until mid terms and stuff are over and then take it to Julie to get my CTR Lip painted and installed and my bumper fixed.. Maybe pick up a CTR Grill as well.. I wish I had more money.. Blah...

Thomas, how are midterms for ya? Or are you lucky enough to have non or in a non semestered school?

Asim I'm non-semestered buddy no midterms, but I have a bunch of projects and crap to take care of.

CTR grill? just get an aftermarket grill, they look just as good
I'm thinking of getting a grill as well.

Either way the payment is coming out of the other party's insurance. I'm not affected by this at all, no insurance increase or anything. But I'm pretty sure the girl that hit me, her insurance is gonna go up.

THOMAS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

holy ****, i feel for u man,.......im sorry that **** had to happen to u!

ure not a reckless driver!.......... im sorry man!!!

i got into an accident myself over here.........i was in the overtaking lane, and when i changed lane, this cab guy decides to cut across 2 lanes onto the lane i was crossing into, and he clips me from behind, and i do about 1 1/2 360 degree turns in the middle of a 5 lane highway!
luckily no one else was involved, and im lucky that 4x4 ( Chevvy Blazer ) didnt roll over!

he was arressted till i came out of the hospital for a checkup since i was having shoulder pain, and i dropped charges against him....but he got lots of fines from the popo's here since he was going faster than the overtaking lane!

NO DUY, IM NOT RECKLESS!!!!!

hope all goes well Thomas!

tata!
