Hey, I was driving down to New York, and am in New York right now. I had my radar detector on. I was going quite fast. So all of a sudden, my detector goes on, and says PULSE. meaning the cop used instant-on radar. and before I even passed the cop (who was sitting stationary in the middle of the road at the No U-turn), he put his tail lights on, and was ready to begin pursuit after me. So I instantly slowed down, and by the time I passed him, I was going on speed. He didn't bother pacing me, and after about 30 seconds, sped up to me and pulled me over. He gave me two tickets. One for speeding 91 miles in a 55 miles zone. Second one for having blue washer lights. That's stupid! Am I supposed to take them off while going to NYC?! I swear I never knew they were illegal. Now the thing is, should I bother paying this ticket? Also, will it get my insurance affected in Ontario? If I request a court date, can I send a letter instead of going to court? What are my options to get away with the fine and stuff? What are the consequences of not paying? Please let me know. thanks

I know that with speeding tickets, they will contact the Ministry of Transportation here in Ontario, and you will be charged with the kilometre equivalent for the speeding ticket.

Dont worry I got tickets all over the states from speeding when traveling to (bmx)contests. They cant do **** when your here. Mind you a warrent for your arrest is issued in the state where tickets are unpaid. Dont pay it, YOUR CANADIAN!

Do that, and the next time you go to the states, if they run the plate or your DL, and they find out that you have outstanding fines........YOU'RE FUQKED. Say hi to Bubba, because they will take you in and hold you until your court day (ussually within 1-2 days)......that is if they alow you to put up a bond.

As for the blue led washer thing.........only illeagal if they flash (in Cananda).....in the states it's a different story......most of the cop cars have red/white or blue lights. That also means blue undercar kits are also illeagal in some states.



Sorry, but I don't fell sorry for you. Do you know what 91 MPH is in KM's? It's about 150 KM +.
