As long as you deal with it it won't bite you up here. By deal with it, I mean pay the ticket, or successfully challenge it in a Texas court.

If you don't pay it, Texas will issue a suspension order on your driver's license, and maybe even an arrest warrant on you. An arrest warrant for an unpaid ticket won't make it back up here, but a license suspension due to unpaid tickets will. Ontario and Texas have reciprocity agreements when it comes to those.

New York State is another story. Not only do they have unpaid fine suspension reciprocity with Ontario, they also share conviction information. Your New York State traffic ticket conviction has a very good chance of appearing on your Ontario driving record, and from there it can affect your insurance rates.

Michigan and NY are the only two states that do this no?
