Speeding Ticket

Basically... got caught doing 86 in 60 zone... not good.. dont ask how... I tryed to suck up to the cop as much as possible... still gave me 86 in 60 which is a 127.50$ ticket... should i fight it? Or just pay it.. and will this affect my insurance? Its my first ticket.. i still have the temp plates on!

Well I think you should take the ticket to court to atleast have it reduced. Seeing as you only have a G2 the three points you lose will be an issue, that is the maximum before they take your G2 away. As for insurance, be prepared for it to go up, they will check your record because of your age.

Is it that hard to do the speed limit?
At the airport, I can only do 40 km! And if I do speed, and I get caught by Peel (on airport property).....it not only goes on my AVOP (Airport id/drivers lic), but also goes on my Regular Ontario one as well.......I like my job, that's why I try not to speed (no lic., no job).......and when I follow the flow on the highway, I'm usually in the center lane too, NOT the fast lane.
Is the extra 5 min. saved, worth the fine/ticket you might get?

Sorry if I sound preachy.

If it is your first ticket it will likely get reduced if you take it to court or if you go the first attendance.

Good luck.

i got a ticket for going 88 on a 60, basically the same as you. my court date is on monday. i hired an x-copper, they say their going to reduce the ticket to $52 and get rid of my points, hopefully. theres more of a chance of them lowering my ticket then if i were to go to court and try.
i was going about 70 and he said he clocked me going 88. in court its the cops word against mine, and theres no way of me proving it. thats the main reason why i hired x-coppers. i've gone to them before and they won my case and a few of my buddies went there and they did the same for them.
your best bet would probably be to hire them.

good luck

actually you can get 6 points before they'll interview you with a G2 license. 9 points is when you'll have your license suspended for 60 days.

i paid about 300, its a bit pricey but its worth it. they'll get rid of the points and your insurance wont go up so it pays off. go to a court office and set a court date, you'll probably be waiting for a trial for about 8 months if not more.
find a nearest x-coppers to you and go and talk to them about your ticket. dont let them charge you more then 300, and if they're trying to charge you more then find another office.

ticket

just send the ticket in and choose option 3, you'll get a notice for an early resolution date, then just be nice, kiss but and you'll get it dropped to no points and half the fine, those are words from my cop uncle, if they don't offer you that then take it to court

300 $ is kind of steep... i might just try and fight iut off my own... ill goto the vcourt house sometime this week.. thanks
