Hmmm?
People speed, but when they get busted, all they do is complain.
And since you were doing 95 in a 50 zone, then all I gotta say is too bad. Maybe you should slow down a bit in the future

45 over in a 50 is dumb. I'll defend your right to speed but doing nearly double the limit is just asking for a ticket.

You are comfortably in 4 point land with that one so a first attendance with a prosecutor will only get you down to a 3 point offence which will save you a few bucks on the spot but it makes no difference to your insurance.

If you go to court, the prosecutor probably won't give you a knockdown, and if they do it will probably be for a 3 pointer so no real benefit there.

Take it to court though, you are already paying for your court time so you might as well collect. If the cop doesn't show you get off. You better hope it wasn't a laser tripod, you can find this out by requesting disclosure from the prosecutors office if you don't know. Since there was a car next to you, your best hope of actually fighting the ticket if the cop is there is to get him to admit that there was another car, then ask about his training and the calibration of the radar and operation, specifically ask him what the number that shows up on the display indicates. Then ask him how fast the other car was going. If he gives you a number other than 95 then you just caught him being arrogant and stupid. If he says 95 then you have to convice the judge that the other car was passing you. If he says he doesn't know then get on the stand and tell him it was passing you at a high rate of speed. Radar guns can't report two speeds, they just give the highest speed detected. Of course even after all of this the judge might still think you deserve a ticket so best of luck.
