I Need Your Help To Fight A Ticket

Does anyone know when the MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION had a strike back in the summer? Because if most of u didn't know, i DID get into an accident sometime during the summer and lost my entire front end. My licence plate got mashed to bits but i still kept it in the back seat of my car while i waited for my new ones to arrive.

I tried ordering plates but there was a strike and i couldn't get my plates. I still drove my car around until one day CAPTAIN KIRKOS pulls me over and gives me a ticket for not having licence plates on the FRONT of my car. I explained to him how i got into an accident and i couldn't help not having plates! I had to drive me car around because I'v got school to attend and i also have a job. I even showed him my mashed up plates in the back seat of my car as well as my accident ticket which i kept in my glove compartment but him being an ******* gave me a ticket anyway.

I'm not working part time and i dont even have the money to pay for the stupid ticket he's given me and i'v got a court day against him coming up sometime soon. I need to win this case because i just can't afford it but i dont know how to fight this.

Can anyone give me some information? maybe help me out on when exactly the strike was for the ministry of transportation?

Also, how do u fight a ticket for a BREATHER that doesn't even do **** for a car?

Hey Mich, I think the strike ended in early May, but I forgot when ur accident was so I might be completely off.

The breather is a legit ticket and you might not be able to completely get rid of it. Ly got one and he went with a (fake) receipt for labour and said it was to remove the breather and they only reduced it by half. The ticket sucks just cause it's an environmental ticket and by having a breather you are (were) releasing unnecessary gasses into the atmosphere... stupid? yup. The best thing is just to go with a receipt AND your car car if possible. They won't really go outside to check your car, but if they ask you if you drove your car and you say no, they'll wonder why not and for sure only drop half. Hope that helps dood.. long time to talk.
Vince.

did you get your new plates? if so, take a dated picture of it, and show it to them in court, and if possible, just to be safer, take a picture of the damaged plates. explain to the judge/prosecutor what you told us here

for the breather, its an enviromental ticket as EK-2-EG mentioned, and is harder to get off completely, but take a picture of the engine bay where the breather was ( after you return it back to stock obviously ) and a receipt to be safe.....i think its a $3XX.XX fine?

sorry i forget when the ministry was on stirke....sometime around early march-april?

Hey guys, thanks for your help . . .

i wish i knew how to get rid of that stupid breather ticket cuz its such a small thing and if u REALLY REALLY run tests on it, . . it probably doesn't even effect the environment not even my 1%.

Its just that Catain Kirkos was being an ***. . . he give no mercy. I thought he was a nice guy till he started lecturing me too about how bad people on DSCR was and how bad forums like this are. Blah blah blah. . . .

Anyway, i just hope the judge will be nice enough to either reduce or throw out the ticket about me not having my licence plates. Kirkos didn't even hear my explaination or anything. . it was like he didn't give two sh*ts. Geez. . . and i was even telling the truth! :working:

ah wells, **** happends, . . . .

I just hope for the best.

VINCE >>> yea long time no talk. . . u dont call me no more. . but then again i dont call either! hehehehe. Ummmm, well, miss chillin wit u bums. I guess i'll see u around chiggah!

Is it a day in court or a day to meet with the prosecution? Because if you already met the prosecution, well, that was your chance to plead bargain. If you are now in court proceedings, then just tell them what happened, and acknowledge your fault. The judges generally don't like smartmouths. I had to get a lawyer for my little "infraction" and it still ended up costing me over $1000 and a lot of points. But, it's been like 4 years since then, so it's dropped off my record.
Why not just call the ministry and ask when they were on strike. I have a friend who was on strike at the same time (same union, diff't department), so I could ask him, but really it would be a lot easier if you just called the ministry.

No i haven't gone for my court day yet. . . and yes i do have a court day which hasn't taken place yet

I called the ministry of transportation and i was on hold for like the longest time!! OMG even finished cleaning up my entire room while i was on hold! How gay is that! *SIgh* And then i had rich call for me another time and he told me he didn't talk to any humans cuz it was all automated. WTF? ErRrrRrRRrr these days its so hard to get a hold or even talk to a human-being on the phone.

If u could do me a favor. . it would be greatly appriciated. Think you can ask your friend about the strike thingy and when it happend?? Please please please with a cherry on top?

Evolutioniv >>> hey harry, yea i heard u got a speeding ticket. . ok i'll give u a call later maybe u can help me out i'v only been to court ONCE EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! The prosecutor scares me. .

venting with emotion

*SiGh* the last thing i needed was my mom yelling at me. I feel like a child again.

anyway, i just had to vent this out because im just really upset about this whole thing and all i really want is for it to go away. I'm just wondering if i'm a target of some sort. I haven't even driven my car in the last 5 months now.

Well, now that i'm done venting, i just hope for the best on thursday. Even if i win or loose, at least it'll just go away, done and over with and i'll get back to my life taking a bus! yay.
