So i think im f*cked for my new car. HELP!!

Story goes, worked my *** off arguing with this dealer for a brand new 09 civic EX-L very nice car. trading in my old civic.

I FINALLY get a vin and go to get insurance for the car.

I forgot i had 3 tickets from the past (2 disobey signs one speeding)

noone will insure me. Belair direct will but it takes max 15 days to get my policy. I get the car on saturday and need insurance then. I think im super screwed. Because if i wait 15 days and belair refuses me, i already signed for the car so then what?

also then i would have to go to facility and pay like 10,000 a year premiums all upfront. (which i totally dont have because im financing the car)

life is BS. any suggestions?

If you are confident in getting insurance from Belair Direct and willing to pay that rate, just ask the dealer to delay when you take delivery of the car because your insurance has not come in yet. Futhermore, if you leased/finance, they dealer is likely not even let you take delivery until you show proof of insurance.

I assume you have a contract you signed with the dealer. Read the terms of that to determine what penalty you would have to pay, if you lose all or some of your deposit, etc... if you were to break that contract.

yeah everything is signed. I was waiting for a VIN to shop for insurance so when i got it yesterday i heard the bad news.

this morning i got an abstract and confirmed that two of the three tickets will be gone next year but still that doesnt matter.

this is why you shop for insurance BEFORE buying a car

why would you consider buying a car without knowing how much your insurance is going to cost you?

i knew how much it would cost me. I got tons of quotes. but when it came to buying it people were saying no left right and center.

I only thought i had 2 tickets so when i was doing the quotes it was ok but i didnt know i had three. I fought two tickets in one court date and really didnt know the outcome so yeah.
