So yeah just report it even if your not making a claim.
yeah i already put in a report at the collision centre. thanks for the info!

More than likely a wise move on your part, Mikey.

Caused a few gouges to the front bumper, but nothing major. He tells the Cop that I hit him hard enough to push him into the next car. Cops don't charge anyone and tell me that they are at the exact same spot everyday for the same thing.

The worst part is that it was the wife's car I was driving and now she pissed.
If you kept enough distance between you and the car infront of you, then you would have had enough time to brake. You are at fault.

I guessed that location before I saw this post. I hate that spot, I drive it every week day. If people paid attention it would be a lot better. It was horrible before they put those vertical plastic barrier things, people used to cut a cross the solid whites to get the Burlington street exit.

Leave all the space you want in that stretch of highway, someone will always fill it in for you.

Sorry to hear about your mishap, Mike. Unfortunately, if the cops showed up, I don't think there is much you can do "hide" this from the insurance company. If they wouldn't have shown up, you could've just paid out of your pocket for your wife's car and the Sunfire you hit, but in your case, I don't think that will be possible anymore.

Sorry to hear Mike. One time, I rear ended someone during a winter storm and ended up with 50/50 but as far as insurance company is concerned, it is no different than 100%.

2 accidents in 2 years. Mike, you may have to prepare for the worst.

Still waiting on a call from the insurance adjustor. There was really no damage done to anyone's vehicles, so I don't see why the other driver's even wanted the police or insurance involved anyway. A new bumper for my Mini is probably more $$$ then all of the other car's damage put together.

The police never actually showed. We all went to the nearest OPP station and gave our statements. No charges laid to anyone.

I bet the other person is looking for a payday from the insurance company for lost wages, a house keeper, etc., since there neck and back are in a brace. :P Oh yeah.. don't forget the wheel chair.

They hit the car in front of them too, so what ever they cry about, so will the people they hit.

My broker is out of town till the end of the week, so I'm holding my breath to hear what they will do to my policy. The adjustor I spoke to today said I was 100% at fault, but so is everyone else. She was going to contact the other insurance company then close my file.

yeah a tow truck guy told me this a few years back. don't wait for the popo to come or you will get charged, granting that you got into an accident where no one got hurt and there's little damage.

No not the case, some cut across 3 lanes on me and i hit them. Cops charged the person with some sort of illegal lane change charge and it was ruled 100% their fault. Although when the cops showed up it was obivous.
