Small Vessel Regulation Ticket go toward your drivers license?

so I got a tick for not having enough life jackets ($250) on my boat this past weekend (I left it on shore, I was 1 short).

Yah stupid, I know.

This ticket doesn't go towards my drivers license does it?

He didn't even write my drivers license down.....

I think it only goes towards your license if its a crimial offence (ie: drunk or careless)

PDF is just a fine, same with open alcohol...

Yeah im sure its just a fine, but I can't find it written online.

The OPP on the water have a reputation for being rather strict.

If you get caught drunk and operating, bye bye drivers license for a year and all that comes with it (fines, insurace, training program, interlock..)

He did give me a break and wrote me a different fine which was $120 instead of $250 because you could see the life jacket flapping in the wind on my dock.

That sucks Steve. Yes, they do regulate strict fines as stated above. It's basically like not having a seatbelt on even though the car is already equipped with it.
Seatbelts = Life saver
Life jackets = Life saver

Lol. You know what? If you had them on you and pulled them out while he/she was writting the fine, you might've gotten off with having a good sense of humour. Lol.

He probably would have gotten the max fine and a more thorough inspection.

He didnt get a booze ticket, so I'm thinking they were dry.

If you have open pop or water bottles they will smell them too.
