what are we "tuner community" gonna do about the increase in bs tickets?
you could be driving less than speed limit, and if you have a:
-muffler
-aftermarket lights (even if orange)
-license plate cover
-honda
-1.5" drop
-seat belt on
-riding in the right lane
you're gonna end up getting a ticket anyways...it's getting ridiculous, and i'm having extreme doubts about continuing on with planned projects, because i can't afford the court fees, and ultimately the insurance fees....
insurance companies are strarting to weed out tuned cars, or youths with one minor ticket
iit seems like they don't want any of us males driving anything with any aftermarket products, or style to them
this is getting out of hand

**** i sorta agree with this first post. it is getting very frustrating, and im seriously considering any future mods just as to not have problems.

im allready seriously considering putting a stock exhaust back on.

if u have nothing illegal on your car....and the physical appearence isn't modified....then u won't get pulled over.......unless ur speeding......or some other things like taillight burnt out or what have you. My brother in law use to drive a civic all stock......drives basically the same route as me everyday....he never use to get pulled over......i have a couple of things on my car that changes the physical appearence........i get pulled over.

it comes with the territory is all i'm saying.......u modify your car to suite ur personality.....and so ppl can look and so u can be different.......u do that, u be prepared for both the negitive and positives of ur actions.

that my friend is a question......that i don't think anyone can ansewer. . . i refer back to what i said previously....if it'z modified, it's gonna get pulled over to check the legality of the mods.

that is probably the best way to ansewer that.

who knows. . .

Do those of u who drive stock civics get pulled over a lot as well? and get issued tickets?

I drove around for 3yrs in a modded 1st gen crx, lowerd, exhaust, race prepped carb etc. and I drove that car almost 200km daily throughout mississauga and oakville and I was never hassled...in that time span I was pulled over 3 times (speeding, going around a corner too fast and for my exhaust) the outcome of those 3 times was 1 ticket for speeding which I deserved...and since then (this being yr 4) still no problems in my civics w/intake, exhaust, lowered, tint etc.

maybe police just dont like yall...or maybe they go after the white/asian folk these days...given up on the black guys (LOL...works for me )

i've been pulled over too many times for nothing, literally...just pulling out of my neighborhood...it's gotta be the muffler, i guess it's gotta go back to stock and then bolt on the aftermarket when we go tracking...damn...the car's gonna be so slow

i get pull over once in a while just for a check up, you deal with it ... and most of the time it's fine ... i mean if your modding your car, be prepared to be hassled ... if you can't take the heat from the cops, go back to stock ... if your a true enthusiast then take it like a man ...
