Si insurance question.

I've been looking at getting an Si.
I've seen alot of people complain that the insurance rates on them are outrageous. Does anyone have specific details?

prices shouldn't matter too much between models.. nothing to break the bank.. i pay about $110/month no collision.

26 years old. clean driving record (i think it is now)

Shop around, you'll find some not too bad prices. Just take the time to look around.

it's that much f difference (all civic insurance is high!) But if you plan on swapping engines and doint any mods you probably better off getting a a lower model anyway because the insurance may be slightly lower

my gf's coworker drives a TSX and pays $1500 per year and uses his friend's address in barrie as his place of residence. had he used his GTA address his insurance would be doubled. so yeah, location has a lot to do with prices here in ontario.

how would they find out. i also have two residences and even told my insurance about it. my permanent address is in waterloo where my mom lives, my normal everyday address is here in toronto so i told them i stay alot in toronto but tech i live in waterloo. i told them i commute to toronto when staying there even...and well, i saved like 50% too. my rate now is 23, clean record, G license on a 99 EL $1600 a year.

you can tell them your address is a parents, etc away from toronto and how would they tell anyways.

if ya wreck the car, they don't care where its wrecked, they care if your at fault so they can jack your rates through the roof.

This is so true

Marco get a 2000 si-R thata boy dont get no 2001+hb

Ummm and it all depends on insurance companies...state farm wanted $100 more per year on a 4 door Vw jetta 1990 as apposed to a 93 Honda civic cx hb. And they wanted $35 or $30 a month more for a civic lx 4 door civic. 93.

So yeah...I think it all has to do with ur insurance company...some judge models...door numbers etc. But it wont be much diff driving an si. And I personally love si models. Hence wut I drive
