Now that i've gotten two tickets in NY state, and the court date they've given me is the 21st of november, what should I do? The thing is that one court is 6 hours from the other (that with speeding at 90 miles). The time for the first one is 8:30am, and the second one is 7:30pm. What should I do? Is it possible that I can send in a written plea? What should I write on it? If I go, what should I say? Are you sure they don't share information with Ontario? I hope not! Is there any way of getting off with a reduced fine; or simply off the hook? Secondly, if I don't show up, and don't pay, how long will it be on my record in NY state? What if I do nothing about it, like not reply to any tickets, and not show up at all? Please get back to me on this one. Need your help.

Relax ..Dont do anything. THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING WHEN YOUR IN CANADA.

Here are your options.

Take a 2 day vacation JUST waste a shitload of money to pay some stupid ticket.

1. You have to:

Take time off work. $$$
Rent hotel$$$
Drive pointlessly$$$
PAY THE TICKET$$$

2. DONT PAY IT
Your giving money to the US dude. You live in Canada.

SOLUTION???

Dont drive through New York next time you go, or better yet just dont speed. They wont pull you over if your driving good. Get your buddy to drive through the state.
Theres a time and a place for speeding. Condenced areas on turpikes will always have cops. In the middle of nowhere ....... well ....you get my idea.

Ive traved to almost every major city in the US. And Ive never paid **** and I never will.

Its up to you. You are responsible for your own actions.

First of all, there is NEVER a time and a place to speed. Are you going to tell the cop that when you get pulled over?

Second......you sitting in the passenger seat does not make you Pass Go and collect $200. If the driver gets pulled over, the cop can ask for everybody's id that is in the car.

Third......I'll post a portion of what I answered when he pm'ed me earlier in the day.




(While in Detroit earlier this year.....)

In the pics below, is a dude that had horseshoes up his *** that day. No lisence (it had expired).....no ins......no plates! The car behind him had no plates as well. (I did NOT photoshop the plates out) The car behind the other one was pushing it home because the it wouldn't start.

They ran his info that he did have on him, (SI card)......and guese what came up? That's right.....warrants.......not only in Detriot (that's where we were), but also in another state as well. It was up to the cop to decide what was going to happen. Because we, (myself and another friend, which set this ride-along up) were sittng in the back, the cops would of had to call for back-up to bring him in. They let him go with a summons to appear in court, because the cop said something along the lines of...."hard luck story......forgot the court date....had sent a letter explaining the reason for him missing the court date"......ect.....ect.....






I bet if we were not in the back of that cruiser for the day, that dude would be in here cooling off his feet for a while.





One more thing. hkalltheway also told me this in the pm .

It's only a matter of time before the cop's here, find out about his warrants there. (that's if he does nothing about it.)

Do we really need peolpe like this in our club to give it a bad name?

ok everyone, take it easy. I appreciate everyone helping me out here. and pulovr, I am not ruining the reputation of the Toronto civic club. When i got caught doing 151 clicks in toronto, it was my first and only ticket I have ever gotten in canada in 3 years of driving. I don't think that is ruining the reputation of the civic club. Just to clarify, I am not a bad driver. I always appreciate your advice, and will take everything you and everyone else said into consideration.
