Should they, or should they not know about your lowered suspension. Will their knowledge result in raised premiums?. Can agents deny a claim as a result of em not knowing?. I just have a few little mods, and wondering if they should find out. One more question, what insurance copmanies give good rates to people with modified cars, .. it be nice to have it all covered l8erz.

Well if you want coverage on your aftermarket springs, shocks whatever, it would help to tell them ahead of time. Dont know if this alone will raise premiums or not...probably not. but they might ask if you have any other mods (which you can always lie about)

Yes. If you have performance mods and you crash your car (your fault) they can refuse to pay for anything.

Depends, what kind of mods do you have? I have I/H/E and i'm taking a gamble by not telling my insurance company. Actually i have almost no choice because they said my premiums would double if i had any type of "performance mod", meaning intake or header. Exhaust doesnt count for my insurance company.

Honestly, i dont think any company has cheap rates for modded cars. But things like audio you dont have to worry about because you just need receipts for those.

You could always just phone up your insurance company and ask them these questions. Just say "what if" i had such and such done to my car. Dont tell them you did do that stuff cuz then u might be screwed

If they have pics of your ride already dropped your covered....

If not you run the risk of higher insurance rates by telling them..

Sorta double edged sword...

Fucked if you do..

Fucked if you don't..
