3 cans of bug/tar remover...$13.78
1 bottle of the same stuff.....$6.89
1 six pack of beer......10.95

man that tar company should of just been the one paying.

Im not sure what your deductable would be, but mine is $400, and im sure you could get the tar removed, and your car detailed for under that.

So, that company shold of just coughed up the coin for there own mistake.

I felt like calling up a trucking company last week. They were dropping gravel/rocks out the back of a transport. Lots of new rock chips from that day.

his insurance is not responsible for it, the trucking company is

take them to small claims for the principle and the cost of products

not worth it now, but wow, i agree, why the hell would they not pay to have it removed professionally and buffed. i mean they don't have to repaint the car, but to say we can't help ya...they take our money and they are not very fast to want to help those customers out. another reason why i hate insurance companies with a passion.

that said, you did damn good work on it

for small claims to work, i think you'd have had to had the car professionally cleaned, keep the bill and present that in small claims as what your are seeking. the whole thing is retarded though, they sprayed your car...they should have just paid to remove it.

hears what ya do. call the company that screwed up your car ask them to pay for it when they say no, tell them thank you very much you will be hearing from my lawyer. call a lawyer and sue them for the hot tar you got on your face and use that money to pay for some upgrades. or file a small claims court form 7. it only costs 30$ and if they dont reply within the aloted amount of time they have to pay the entire amount u sued for. so its costs you
30$ and a day off work/school big deal its a good life experience regardless even if you loose. btw good clean up job

simple fact is if you dont have comprehensive coverage insurance company aint gonna pay for any damage incured to your car unless it was hit by another car...so, this doesnt cover stone chips/broken windows from rocks, vandalism, theft etc....so like others said, if the trucking company was any kinda stand up place they woulda offered to get ur car cleaned up or whatever but insurance has nothing to do with it

atleast u got it clean tho...looks good

well its like having a ladder fall off somebody's pickup truck and smash into your car...u can call insurance all you like but if u dont have full coverage they aint gonna do nothing for you...if u get the other guy's plate and file a complaint and a ticket is issued to carrying an unsafe load or whatever then maybe u would have a valid claim...

its fixed now, so whats done is done...dont drive by construction vehicles anymore, I know I try my best not to after what happened to my windshield this winter
