Screech...Scribble...Screwed

I had the exact ticket under different circumstances and had to defend it in court about a month ago. The ticket was thrown out based on a technicality that there was NO stop LINE, only a stop sign so the cop had no idea if I stopped before it or not.
That being said, I would take pics of the area which you've done paying attention to the ground and whether or not there is a stop LINE. You say that you did come to a COMPLETE stop so in this case I think the same argument would hold up. I think you may need to print the pics in a LARGE format if you plan on using them as supporting evidence just so they are clear and there's no misinterpretation of the circumstances and surroundings.
You were in plain sight of the stop sign? Or was the parked vehicle blocking it on your approach? I don't know so I'm asking...I can't exactly picture the situation.
Good luck.

{{ As I'm replying to your question, there's a pair of Traffic Ticket ads by Google directly above this text box; I'm convinced they can read my soul... }}
Anyway, I was in the left of 2 lanes approaching the Stop Sign, & I definitely remember a large vehicle moving at a slow speed to my right. Only when I looked around it did I see the perched cruiser.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
