pull over by cop????

have anyone been pull over by cops and have your hood open. Do they have the right to inspect what is under your hood or you can refuse. What do they looks for??

Can someone share some of their story.

I know someone who got pull over on the DVP for driving some fly ride and when the cop came to the window they notice his interior been missing and he told the cop that his interior is being redone. Then they check under his hood and he had no paper for engine swap. They pound his car for 45 days to check the serial # and finally went to the shop to get receipt and they still kept his car for 45 days. WTF cops are very tight now with imports. They probably jelous that Honda 4 bangger kick some ***. I don't hear them doing these kinda thing when muscle car was in.

in this case i think they'd have the right to pop..
car is stripped of interior..just like you find them after they've been ripped..kinda raises the suspision level to acceptable..
did they ask for ownership??

tho why it was kept for the full term even after the #'s were checked out is beyond me??
any silent browsers wanna fill me in on why??

I remember a post

Similar (I made this below quote)
"The weight of the interior was very heavy, thus causing an extraload on this 4 cylinder engine, I bought this car for economy yet it has failed to satisfy me so the reduction of the interior greatly improved my fuel consumption"

everytime i hear a story about someone who gets pulled over with missing interior, the two ones i hear are
getting sound system installed
getting interior redone

is your friends interior 100% gutted or juss back seats removed?
