Police safty cert

Got pulled over AGAIN today. (#8 this week --check custom title )

(undercover) officer(s) said I have to carry a "safty certificate" on me because the car is lowered and altered etc. or it will be pulled off the road. What is he talking about??

Other rediculious comments-He said I cant drive my car because its a "show car". If I do 5 over I will be penilized. My car is a "banana honda" WTF? We all meet at coffee time/altona to squeel the tires and race...???Im not evolution!!!! UGGHHHH!!!! He kept refering my car to his S-10???Told me he was traffic specialist to get us "hondas" What a *******

"Ill let you off this time"

Dude you have to realize that they are citizens too and that they have to be held accountable. PC's are not above the law or above common courtesy. Don’t let him get away with it.

Just because they are police doesn't mean they can go hog wild on everyone and stand on a soap box everytime they pull over someone that doesn't hold the same views as them.

You have a right to do to your car what you want granted that it is legal. Making fun of your car colour is like making fun of the colour clothing you are wearing.

Making fun of your car type is like making fun of your race, how wrong is this statement
"I became a traffic specialist to get all you Chinamen"

I feel it is the same thing, "wow nice yellow shirt banana boy". Hey, is it covering my body? I'm not naked here am I?, I'm not J walking am I?

And just because I have a clean car doesn't mean it's a show car, I like to keep my possessions clean and functioning nicely, unlike your poorly maintained S-10.

I look at these comments as harassment, nextime one of these ignorant PC's pull you over get their badge number and name and report them to the supervisor. There’s also got to be a complaint department somewhere too.

This guy must have been a rookie and all high on power. Cops like these really need to take some public relations classes and common human courtesy classes.

If you remember the division zone I would pursue this. It’s harassment, I say this not to flame this guy and get revenge but to highlight a problem in our Police Services, it seems obviously that if this is a common occurrence, the Police Services need to look at the idea that their training is insufficient for dealing with the public. To protect and SERVE the public, not to Harass and force fellow citizen to conform to your personal views.

This reminds me of the early 1900’s when Irish cops were going to town on immigrants.
Wrong, WRONG… not nice, they managed to turn things around, but things could still be better. Common courtesy for your fellow human.

Pursue it, if you need a hand I’d be more than happy to help you.

Whoa that was long.

strategy

Dude,

It pisses me off that these phookers are always pulling you over.
I experienced that all the time when I had the Protege5.

I had a thought.

Get yourself a video camera...

Everytime you get pulled over, pull out the camera and start taping the phookers.

Build up a collection and build a case and sue the police for harrassment.

Always ask for Badge and ID number, ask for their business card and when they can be contacted.

Speak to a lawyer about your rights.

then maybe you can sue them for harassment...

speaking of safety certificate
i saw a cruiser that said something like "safety and e-test" had a green stripe
looked exactly like a cop car, but instead it said safety and e-test vechicle

-> i saw it on the 401 heading east just past bayview.

don't knwo if any others has seen them or if they have know what they are and if they actually do pull you over and check you.

that's such bs. did you ask him what laws he was referring to when he said you need a saftey certificate?? i cant believe cops these days going around saying whatever they want and having total disregard to the actual laws that exist. did you get his badge number? you should file a complaint

....

its gotta be durham cops they're the worst.... especially the older ones they just have "kill kids" written on their forwards

at least with some of the less cocky young ones they understand the car scene A BIT... and this is rare when u find one like that, but I have before when caught at a "Race location" lol.

but whatever..... police harrassment is pretty serious and you can do something about it... talk to a lawyer! get badge numbers and stuff my dad did that and won!

...

its completely unrelated to modified cars and was 5 years ago in a different city BUT lol he was driving home one night from a party he had a glass of wine exactly 1 glass he got pulled over cop smelt it brethalized him he was way under the legal limit but cop threw him againts the car frisked handcuffed and put in the back of the squad car like 2 hours after sittin in the back of the cop car he took my dad out uncuffed him said he was free to go and jetted then my dad called the department and filed a complaint nothing happened then the cop pulled my dad over again a few months later gave him tickets for speeding and improper lane changes and stuff and was being HECTICALLY rude which was bogus so he went to court with a lawyer faught it with proof cause there was a witness in the car and it was deemed police harrasment after the court decided it was due to the complaint.

not sure what happened to cop, but my dad won got the charges dropped ...

i woulda been curious to known what happened to the cop
