performance suspension = no insurance ??

I had quite the fun with a cop last summer, I was pulled over for speeding and he claimed my car was too loud, and too low, which its not either, I have a silencer muffler and my car is a normal drop nothing stupid, he forces me to pop my hood and all, of course I play stupid with him, he ask's me what engine I have I tell him, I think its a 4 cylinder, he just looks at me, then asks me what "VTECH" means, I just answer him, I have no idea, my dad does everything for me, as my car is under his name for insurance and other reasons, so he couldn't really call me a lier, but I got off with just the speedin ticket after being pulled over for a good hour, He claimed he was gonna tell my insurance company that my car was modded, but he couldn't tell the diffrence that I had a b16 in my engine bay, and I still haven't heard anything...so I guess he was just trying to make me spill it

They said that assuming it was "not for racing," that I would have to show them the reciept and let them inspect the car, and then it "should not be a problem."
If I lower my ride I don't see myself doing that because I bet my rates would go up, but then again maybe it would be worse if I were to get into an accident and have my policy cancelled.
If I got sport springs, it would not be a problem because hardly anyone would notice that drop, but the problem is that I am thinking of H&R Race. Even with those springs, my stock cx rim/tire combination (175/70/13) will not be tucking, anyone think that because of that it would go unnoticed?
BecauseI am thinking that if its lowered but still has a little room between the tire and the fender, its not very noticeable.
Coles Notes of this long post, should I get H&R Race and not tell my insurance company, or live with huge feneder gap and spend my money on something else?

What if you had over-bored your cylinders and installed high compression pistons and a cam? Do you think the guy would have spotted them?
It's still your responsibility to fully disclose your modifications to your insurance company. If you don't and they find out later, it's not tough luck on them - it's tough luck on you.
