Parking Ticket Question
 

I got a parking ticket today in Streetsville. I was in a Green P parking lot with a maximum of 15hrs parking allowed. I have been parking there for over a year now with no issues. Im usually there from 8 am to 5pm everyday so well below the 15hrs.

Today I received a parking ticket Infraction:

Parking vehicle on property owned or occupied by the city without consent of the city or local board

My coworkers also parked next to me and didn't receive a ticket. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I forgot to put my new updated liscense sticker on my plate. It still reads Jun 07. I have the sticker in the car but forgot to put it on. Would this warrant the ticket or does it not have anything to do with the ticket?

I was parked where it says Kerr and Church St.

you are lucky they didnt tow the car with the expired tag...as they could consider it "abandoned"

so thats the reason for it? Because I am getting conflicting opinions on it. I dont mind paying the ticket if that was the case.

if that IS the case, i would take it to court with the receipt for the new sticker...it'll show that you actually did renew your plates on time, but you just forgot to replace the sticker.

but yeah, i've never heard of anyone getting a parking ticket for an expired sticker.

how much is the ticket for?
usually i dont bother with them and just pay the tickets cuz its a lot more convenient than the other options.
