parking ticket?! im from away
I was downtown on Queen yesterday night and parked my car to shop. I looked everywhere on all the signs to make sure i was ok, there were other cars all around and the signs said no parking between like 530 and 730 and it was later then the time so i figured i was fine! I park and when i get back i have a ticket????
there's no meters!!!! what's on the go???
what's this about a recipt in the window on the ticket too? I'm form newfoundland and just drove my crx up for a vacation theres no such thing down there, you can park downtown allnight on te street, meters aren't up in the night.

Yeah Toronto got rid of most of the parking meters in favour of automatic ticket dispensers. They are green boxes that along the side of the road. You have to go to them, put your money in, and get a ticket to display in your car.
I know you're not from here, but did you really think that there was free parking in Toronto???

check the ticket for an online address, and you can pay it online...
the parking ticket is attached to your plate, it may affect you from re-newing your plate portion sticker.
I used to live in NFLD...Marystown actually...
