so, i plan on fighting my ticket. "parked signed highway during prohibited" etc.

i don't even know how much the ticket is for actually but i just had to renew my plate stickers so i'm not interesting in giving the city anymore money. especially since i'm still in school and need it.

basically i need to know that if i CAN prove that my car wasn't there at that time (ie reciet for oil change), then technically since it wasn't my car that got the ticket, how do i fight it? i can't walk into court with the ticket, they'd be like "if it wasn't your car how come you have the ticket" will they send me a letter or something?

You want to claim that you were elsewhere at the time of ticket so you couldn't possible have received the ticket that you are in fact currently holding in your hand?
