dented, it shouldn't be points deducted.

its not a moving violation, so you shouldn't have points deducted.

There's no points deducted for that. Just set up a court date for that ticket. The chances of the cop showing up is pretty slim anyways.

Hey

i got pulled over for the same stuff

i kept my plates in my car
and i told him i didn't know that you needn't plates at the front , and i asked him a couple of questions

then he asked me for my insurance and all that crap, but i didn't have the slip with me

then he went to his car, came back and gave me a 70dollar ticket for failing to surrender insurance.

he said that all i needed to do was go to court and fight it and they'll drop it.

this was all at 7AM in the morning

for your plate thing just do what i did, pretend like you didn't know you were suppose to keep it their or some BS like that

"Ignorance of the Law is not an excuse!"

Dude, if they dont drop the charge when you go to plea (dont settle for less please!), set a court date.

8-14 months later, a few days before your trial, take a picture of your car with the front license plate attached, show it to the prosecutor, and it will be dropped 100%.

They might ask for the date of when the picture was taken to see if your BS'ing them, i highly doubt it, but its better to be safe. ( I think the sate is some kinde of code printed on the reverse side of the picture on the film matte )
