Need desperate help with insurance

Here's a bit about me:

20 years old
Male
2002 Honda Civic
G-class license since August 2002

From March 2003, I had been insured with Facility Insurance. Before that policy, I had had one traffic conviction on record, one claim for stone chip/windshield replacement, and NO accidents at all. At that time, they quoted me at $477 per month. So I decided to go with them. Now, as my renewal period comes around, I JUST got a letter in the mail that due to me being high-risk, they will not insure me after my current policy expires. Since then, I've had one more conviction for speeding (115/km in a 100 zone.) no demerit points. HOWEVER, that conviction was AFTER that letter was sent to me. Hence, before that letter, I had NO CONVICTIONS, NO ACCIDENTS, NO CLAIMS AT ALL for the time I was with them, and they insured me last year, but refuse to insure me this year? What nonsense is that? I don't have much choice anyways, since most companies are not willing to insure me. Does anyone have any suggestions so I don't pay a freakin' 477 a month? Anyone with similar charactersitics as me? What insurance company should I go with?

Also, last month, I got a ministry approved drivers training certificate; I believe that should get me a 20% discount or something. I would really appreciate some help here.

**End of Rant

Well even if the conviction was before or after the letter they do have access to you MVR so they can see if a ticket has even been issued or not .... Did they by chance ever take any pics of your car? and is your car modified at all? The insurance industry is becoming a very tight market, so most companies only want business they can make a profit on, cause auto insurance is in the red every year for every company ....

No they didn't take any pictures of my car. As far as modifications are concerned, i have tinted windows, and an OEM spoiler. That's about it.

once you are deemed high risk that driver's training certificate is as good as toilet paper to insurance companies...I went through the same crap and I had to pay $350/month on a 86 CRX for a year...went down to $300 then $270...then it got written off (not my fault) and I have a 90 civic Si now and I pay $203 w/no convictions, no at fault accidents for like 5years, G license 22 years old w/drivers training cert.

all you can do is basically get an older **** box car or ur gonna be paying the bigger bucks

I swear to God, with my quotes right now, I can just rent a car and my Gold credit card covers the insurance part. That way, I can crash as often as I like without worries. How about insurance in another province? Is that possible if I have relatives? I have some in Manitoba and Quebec.

what u can do but is a bit shady...change all your information to a relative's place up north and get it insured up there...that would mean changing your license to say u live there etc. when I moved to windsor my insurance went down $200/yr (used to live in mississauga)...my buddy did the up north thing but then insurance caught on when they found out he worked in oakville and had the car insured in barrie

another option may be goin under as a secondary driver under your mom or something...other than that u gotta pay

Manitoba has much cheaper public insurance..

Know that you will be commiting insurance fraud from the start though..

Avoid Quebec...
