I just got a ticket last year in september and it wasn't an accident or anything and this past week they raised my insurance by $1200 dollars. Considering my car is not even a racer. I went to the insurance guy and talked to him and he said he can't do anything because the head office raised my premium. Like what the hell! But I told him I won't be paying the premium and that I'll be looking for another insurance company.

Other people do more serious accidents and they don't get their premiums raised soo high, and I get nailed with $1200 more per year....I think that's robbery. I don't even make that much and their charging me $1200 more? FOr what? A Civic LX...like I"m gonna do lots with that.....watch out copper...I'm gonna run away with my 100hp civic...

Do you guys have any ideas to what I can do. I mean paying $1200 more for one ticket which was nothing, no accident is not justified.

how old are you? what type of licence do you have? find out from him if the increase was all due to the one ticket, or if part of it was the boardwide increase that happened.....

if they increased it $1200 cuz of one ticket, i think it's time to find another insurance company

I'll do that, thanks man. I think it would be best if we had a petition towards the government in concern to wrongful accusation towards young drivers.

I'm going to talk to him tonight.

you should just shop around with other insurance companies and see who's the cheapest. i agree that raising your premiums by $1200 is pretty rediculous based on one minor ticket.
