nebody got insurance under ur parents name?

do any of you guys got insurance under ur parents anmes etc?....heres my scenario, im payin out my ass for insurance on my mustang cuzz of my age, my mom owns a van and we her boyfriends got a car that they both insure seperatly...if i were to put my car into my moms name could she insure it and then put me down as a secondary driver?...

if its in her name she could insure it, as well as her other car, and you would have to ba a primary driver on one of the cars, obviously the van will be cheaper than the stang

i think the highest risk driver has to go on the highest risk car... thats if you live in the same house... someone correct me if i'm wrong...

You can go on any car, doesn't need to be the "high risk" car .... IF there are 2 cars and 2 licenced drivers in the house, you will have to be principle driver on one of them, just tell your broker which one ...

i had to go through the wholeinsurance crap recently and they put me under the most expensive car.....said it was insurance policy

Mirai Trunks 02-Nov-2004 12:44 AM

yes the high risk driver will definately be on the high risk vehicle. THATS THE WAY IT IS; NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS heh. I went through this already in the past with my cars. But you will still save on insurance.

Could you maybe find an adult to help you repost this in readable English?

The only way that you can save money is if your insurance company offers a mutli car discount. I just bought my car a couple weeks ago and when i got my insurance my insurance did a qoute with the car in my name and the car in my moms name. Since she already has a van with them she gets a multi car discount. This discount saves almost a thousand dollars. Althought i still have to be the main insurance subcriber on the car still save by having it in her name.
