This is what you do. Request from the crown by registered mail all information involving the tickets, including the officer's certification to operate the gun. More than likely this will not come in time for your court date, which is ok, they will allow a continuance for another date. When you get there, they will try and knock it down. Tell them no. Don't tell them that u requested the info until you are in court with the judge. If they say they can get that info now, let them, But make sure they give you the certification for the cop to operate the speed gun. If they do get the info, tell the court you need time to look over . See if they will give you a continuance to look over the information or to see if you will get the information if they do not retreive it.

F.Y.I. not all cops are licensed to operate the speed gun.

I have done this, didn't get to the point on proving about the gun, because after the second court date, he was a no show.

I say always fight, its your legal right.

Innocent until proven guilty

FYI, not all cops are good.

Eventhough you did a bonehead wind out off the line, I also agree with Kane2K here on one major point. You could not be doing close to 100 MPH/160 KPH within that distance you claim. A twin turbo Carrera or a Mclaren F1 maybe..

You will have to call into question the officers reading. Did he actually get you on radar or was he just bullsh*tting.

If you discredit this, all of the other charges would have to be questioned, as all the other tickets spawn from his initial ticketable offence.

Anyways - you have no reason to blast off the line and wind to 6k - that is plain stupid - and street racing is a real NO NO

I agree 100% Do not hire anyone, I never have because im smart and its a big waste of money unless youre a total wimp and cannot go up in front of a judge... Its really not that bad at all, ive been to court twice for speeding and another ticket for something else. First time the cop didnt show up and i got that speeding ticket gone. Second time i got it reduced from a 170 dollar ticket to a 60 dollar tcket.

thos companies are just trying to take your money for something you could easily do yourself.

yup i have definately learned my lesson,
How much was gas when he was done with you???
gas was 66 cents
well i have been talking to alot off x-coppers. and getting quotes on fighting my ticket. i have gotten 750, 500, 1000 and 250. however the one that stoood out the most was this guy John(he charges 750). he has been fighting tickets for 12 years. has a very long history with this sort of tickets. and the best part of all he lives right near the gas station so he know what i'm talking about he also knows that it is impossible for my civic to do those speeds in such a short distance. unless my car was drag car.
we went over my tickets and says that all the cop was doing was trying to get his christmas bonus. he himself in his m5 can't get to 160 i that short of a distance.

i ain't no ricer kid i know alot better than to do those speeds. and i do admit that what i did was wrong but i came here for help and instead got bashed on. why would i lie??? what would i get out of it???i don't need you guys to believe me you guys wot get me off the ticked....all i was asking was for suggestiong and help on what and how i should go about fighting this tickets. everyone that knows that i don't race, everything i have in my car is from the dealer from exhoust to intake, the only thing i've put was springs. when i bought this car i didn't know what an SiR was nor did i care i got it because it was a civic... i drive an average of 90-130 kms a day servicing networks around ontario and needed something that wouldn't kill me on gas. i ain't no street racing punk i was just in a hurry to get home from work. im sure i'm not the only one whos ever speeded.

my court date is next week on the 17th in newmarket hopefully everythign works out.

anyways thanx for everyones input wether good or bad.
and if i came off as a punk, my apologize.

Cops have no grounds to search your vehicle without warrent like your house police cannot enter unless you allow them or they have a warrent or under extrem conditions your dying or holding hostages inside. Dont worry dude they will not win in court, find a lawyer if anything you might be able to sue the police for illegal search.

Wrong.

Both the Criminal Code and the HTA provide several avenues by which a cop can conduct a warrantless search of your car. They can even tow your car without warrant for certain types of search and removals.

You of course can try and stop them. Tell us how it goes when you do, after you get out of jail for obstruct police.

LOL! - now that is funny...

Police can use any reason to stop you and start a search.

So don't have anything stupid on you in the first place..
