Do you not have any morals? Based on what was stated in this post so far, you were at fault 100% and now you want him to pay for the damages to your car? By the way, have you reported the accident to the collision reporting centre as you are required by law?

http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/saf.../reporting.htm

I see the point where there must be something with the other drivers situation, be it a suspended license, no insurance, etc... that would warrant him leaving the scene of the accident, but why don't you take responsibility for your own actions instead of trying to squeeze money out of the other driver.

He seemed at the time like he didn't want this to go to the cops or insurance. So I think he either believes he's at fault or was driving illigally for some reason.

Maybe a susspended license or no insurance or something.

And as for why I'm being imoral. I work very hard to make what money I do make and my debts are huge and my insurance and gas eat most of my pay. Then comes debts and I'm left with no money for upgrades or repairs. And It's only going to be getting worse for a while yet.

So I'm looking for any money I can get my hands on.

And it did seem to me like he fell asleep at the wheel so as far as I'm concerd he's the cause. Not me. I was driving normally. I wasn't even speeding as usual. Just on my way to work driving.

So I'm going to see if I can get any money from him. Whatever I get I get.

If he gives me nothing I tried at least and go about my business.

Or maybe he's just afraid of his rates going up?

your a moron, you hit him, he didn't hit you buddy, maybe if you wernt in such a rush and were actually paying attention to what was infront of you this wouldnt of happened. regardless if he fell asleep or not your still at fault not him. As for the reason why he didnt wanna call the police or isnurance who knows, maybe he felt bad for you cuzz your a young kid and he was being nice or maybe he didnt want his own rate to sky rocket, regardless your trying to take advantage of a situation you created and milk somebody for money b/c you dont have any of your own which is wrong, you want money go get a better job and earn it, dont try and get money from ppl for your mistakes.

dont try to get money from this guy...you are 100% a fault...consider yourself lucky all you have to pay for is the damage to your car...think of it this way..the cops can find out..and you didnt report it...insurance increase...plus if you do find him the cost to repair his car...not to mention the fines you could have...you got away clean minus the damage u now have to pay out of your own pocket

If anyone was asleep in this incident, it must have been you because you weren't able to see and react to a stopped car that everyone else was getting safely around.

You say you work hard for your money? Well sunshine, what makes you think the guy you hit doesn't also work hard for his money?

You're being immoral for trying to squeeze money out of a person for damages caused by your own lack of driving attentiveness.

He might not wanted to have stayed around for many reasons. He could have been late for work, on his way to an appointment, or just plain didn't want to bother with the delay that a police report would have entailed.

Now, it could come back and bite you on the *** though. The guy that YOU RAN INTO THE BACK OF could just now be starting to feel those twinges of neck pain.

You see, by now this guy would probably have talked to his friends about the accident, and his friends would be setting him straight who was at fault and what he should be seeking in damages from you for an accident that is totally your fault.

And you think your insurance is high now? Wait until this incident becomes known to your insurance company, when the guy you're trying to shake down decides to go to his insurance company and report the ACCIDENT IN WHICH YOU RAN INTO THE BACK OF HIM BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION.

So do it... go track the guy down. Give him your information. Then cover your *** because it could very easily come back and bite you hard.

The fella you rear ended could have very much wrote down your plate number and has reported you as doing a hit and run...

you go after him and you're probably setting yourself up for a fall.

i can't believe i'm reading this stuff... 'you're looking for whatever money you can get your hands on' you're a disgrace to society, everyone works hard for their money, just cuz you're like everyone else doesn't justify you trying to rip someone off, on top of it all just by writing all this stuff up on a thread makes you an idiot because as we all know cops frequent this board.

I'm at a loss for words right now, if i thought anything i said right now would get through to you then maybe i'd waste my strength and type some sense, but obviously nothing is gonna make a difference in your brain....

yes you do that.
eventhough u know ur at fault just proceed and play it off to be his.
buddy thats FRAUD and blackmail if u threaten him too (reading ur posts it sounds like you would too)
let me make one thing clear to you UR AT FAULT AND UR BETTER OF LEAVING IT AT WHERE IT WAS.
you seriously do NOT know how to drive and from what you said it seems like you where comming really fast in order for you to not realize that the car infront of you is stopped.
all your doing is jeapordizin your insurance and your name here on tcc. if i was an admin i would have revoked your memebership by now and gave u ur membership money back less the time u already used up here.

If you're driving.. lets say your doing 40km/h and the car infront of you is too big to see around. And your front bumper is about 2 meters from his back one and he suddenly pulls to the side and you see about 4 meters ahead of you a stopped car and there isn't enough room on either side to avoid it.

Is that your fault?
