the store you bought it from does not need to inform you of the legality issues. You as a buyer is responsible for reading all instructions and warning labels ie. FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY etc on the actual packaging. If Canadian tire were to sell this as a street legal piece of equipment they would have sold it to you over the counter rather then you pick it up from their shelf.

hey, it's my choice what i want on my car. I haven't modded it at all man. Just some lights here and there. No engine mods, no nothing. The blue light is a very dim light, and it shouldn't be a concern for the cops, neither do I think it was. He asked me why I had it, and I said I liked it, but he didn't give me a ticket, because nowhere in the HTA does it say it's illegal.
