Insurance Renewal

Just got my renewal from Pilot Insurance - After all the stuff I hear about increasing premium, I'm 24, own (not lease or finace) a 2003 Eclipse GT, Live in the KW area and my premium went down $50 a month - If any of you want the name of my broker, PM me, Pilot has ben good to me (no accidents but I did get 2 speeding tickets in the last year)

I live in Kitchener and my broker is in Clinton ... so you can be anywhere as long as you have access to a fax machine ... and as far as modded cars, the broker will place with a company that will cover it

Yeah, Pilot ownzs alright.

ie.....friend has Pilot insurance (used to have SF). With SF, he used to pay $170/mnth. With Pilot, he was paying $235/mth........it then went down $10/month to $225/mnth. He was really happy when he told me what happened.........then I asked him what he used to pay with SF? He then told me to shut up.

He left SF because he thought he could find a cheaper rate.....he had no mods, or tickets on his record. (what a morron). He should of stayed put.

Well, Labatia, if you were held at fault for the accident your premiums are likely going to go up, and i'm going to assume that you got 3 points (you don't lose points you get them) from this accident then that may raise the preimum as well ..... I would wait til you get your renewal and if its outrageous speak with your broker about finding another company ....

Ahh, 3 points from speeding, then your premiums likely won't go up that much ....

As for a number for pilot, they are not a direct writer , which means that you have to go through a broker to get a quote for insurance - State Farm and Co-operators are direct writers as they have agents that sell just their products .... If you want a number for brokers in your area you can PM me or have a look in your phonebook and ask

could I get your brokers # I have an accident that's 3 years old when I renew this year and I drive a 2003 civic coupe LX. I pay 350 a month....does that sound about right? or should I be looking elsewhere? I deal with a broker.

How old are you ..... $350 sounds ok for 1 accident, and it takes 4-6 years for it to come off your insurance record
