Even so, Georgetown population densities are getting heavier and quickly. With that, and no public transit to speak of, traffic densities are also going to do nothing but rapidly increase, and that is going to put more pressure on auto insurance rates for Georgetown residents.
Move your residence another 10 km north of Georgetown, say, 5 meters north of 32 sideroad (Ballinafad) and your rates would drop an immediate 25 or 30% from Georgetown rates, and you'd still be only a 10 or 15 minute drive from the mall.

Actually, the crimes that matters is vehicle-related crime, such as car theft or vandalism. Those crimes aren't really dependant on population density.
One person mentioned Georgetown for lower insurance rates, but Georgetown, like many smaller towns, is bad for random car vandalism and contents theft, and has been for years. That can also have an impact on rates.
