good info!

I have a Q tho,

I only have my G1 at the moment and i am eligible for my G2 come July...my parents don't want me to get it because they say that the insurance company will AUTOMATICALLY put me on the policy  because they have 'connections' to the ministry that will let them know i've acquired my g2.
My parents claim this happened to a family friend of ours and their rates sky rocketed!. So my parents want me to get my G2 NEXT SUMMER so they can save a year's insurance costs

So is it possible for me to just get my G2 in july and NOT tell the insurance company about it? My parent's policy renews in august, so i was thinking if i got my g2 RIGHT after they get it renewed this august...maybe i can 'escape' insurance costs...but i'm not sure if thats insurance fraud or what...what are teh concequences for that

thanks!

when I got my G2 the insurance company didn't know until my father informed them. yes the rate increased but that was because I was an occasional driver for the car...

when I got my civic when I was shopping for insurance I did have to inform the insurance company of the other drivers in my house (like my father) however letting the insurance company know that the other drivers will not be driing your car will not have your rates increase... then again I was told that because opf my father's good drving record the rates wouldn't increase anyways since they were as high as they could put them for me...:p

if the other driver (a g2 for example) is in the household...they will be rated on the policy......whether they drive or not (unless they're insured elsewhere)
