insurance photos

well for once i have a positive thing about insurance... my broker found another company for me... they only want $202 a month with 3 tickets... so i'm enthused...

now the problem... they want me to physically bring my car there so they can take pictures... so pretty much when they see my car i'm uninsured by them i'm sure...

so what do i do? spend a couple hundred to get my car stock or hope for the best? i'd imagine the big things will be the springs and rims... but both of those were free to me so i wonder if that means anything...

Most companies do this with vehicles less than 10 years old ... As far as what to do, its basically up to you ... Good luck, the only advice i can give you is they usually have designated shops where photos can be taken and you can ask the advice of the people who work there as to what to do and what not to do

DO insurance companies care at all about Rims and Body Kits?

Makes me wonder... my insurance is with my girfriends dad, and one time he was outside after I my rims/body kit were on. I remember him circling my car, but he didn't say anything.

well, if they see them on a car, and its not the stock/factory rims and lip kits, they may ask about them, as they increase the vlaue of the car and make it more of a target for theft ... depends how eloborate your rims and kit is ...

and my car was how it is now when they saw it and they dont care

well the thing is for me to buy new springs... buy some steelies... after that i'd probably be close to my savings with this new company...

so i might just go and see... the thing is i dont care if any of it is insured cause i'd never go through insurance for anything cause its cheaper for me to just get a bank loan and pay that off...

maybe if they see how ****ty my car looks they'll give me cheaper insurance??

any truth to the fact if you only have liability insurance the company doesn't need to see the car??

I only have liability and they always take pics of my car...they want proof that the car actually does exist...they take pics of the outside (paint colour, rust, damage etc), they check to see if dash vin matches door jamb vin, check odometer, they ask u if u have an alarm (starter kill, immobilizer etc.) if u have a stereo and the value other than that the lady didnt care that it was lowered, that it had exhaust or nuthin like that, she didnt pop the hood to see my big block 454 or nuthin LOL

relax man, its a simple thing that dont really mean much

I got liability only with Kingsway and they didn't care to take any pics of anything...I also got a letter saying that I was overcharged $130. So, I'm primary driver (only driver actually) with liability only paying about $2450/year and I have 3 tickets and a 2 month suspension on my record from almost 3 years ago.

man o man, for those pics my car has to be 100% stock... they said even an aftermarket shift **** was deemed a "modification" and as such no insurance for me...

although when they come my hood latch is gonna be broken so i can't pop my hood... *shucks* i guess i'll get some stock springs and just put them on the illumina's as well... i'll just say i painted my shocks white if they get that ****...

not sure about the rims though... i told them there value was $100 so maybe thats a non-issue.... or i could just borrow some steelies even...

hmmm i'm not even sure what else is a "mod".... i wonder if my crappy tire brake pads are a mod since they aren't oem

"the man" is making that nice new wrx coming seem that much better every day
