It would be cheaper to pay both, but i dunno if you can, so this is a good thread to start, i'd save tons, my mom has a 2k accord and with both mine and her insurance it was like 140 a month! now i'm paying 430 a month, and after i get my marks back from 1st semester i'll get the good student rate and it'll drop down to 320/month......

I dont think you can do that thing with your dad primary on two cars, when I was buying my car my dad asked an insurance broker about that and he said you couldnt, something about each person that can drive in a household can be primary on one car only, so 3 cars = 3 different primaries. Luckily my sis is older then me, and shes the primary on my car

then my mom has her own
then my dad puts my car on another insurance and puts me as second driver

labatia: buddy, usually everyone pays more than you for a guy, unless you become a trans-sexual, you can get better rates....maybe.

I just got into a collision, no one else is involve, it went up another 1,000 dollars. Good thing I have friends that own garage and I got all the mods out before they check or they will not pay a cent, they will say that your mods caused the accident. Then I would be in big ****...... Stop crying and get a job or don't drive. 265 a month.....that's chicken ****. Even on student wages only working 2 days (weekend) I managed just fine. Right now I have to solve all my ticket problems or the insurance would go even higher..... Don't want to pay over $7,000 a year, but I might have too. You want to trade places? just think of me when you are complaining about insurance.

you should stay with your current insurance, IMHO thats a pretty good rate.

I pay 236/month for a 4th gen, and i'm 20, CLEAN record.

this sucks

That's a very good rate for a young one like you ! If there's 3 vehicle's and 3 driver's, each driver get's a car placed under their name. You might want to try putting the oldest car under your name.

ouch is that 540 a month for 12 months? my insurance is just about as high (535 a month) but thats because my coverage is a 12 month policy that I'm paying over 8 months.
