insurance doing a good job?

hell no...

i wondered why my bank account was so low... for me going from a 93 civic Si hatch to an 88 4 door dx my rates have now gone up to nearly $380/month from $240/month on my 93...

how does this equate?

I would check around with a different insurance company.

Check out the difference in overall medical benefit payouts between the two cars. If one car is a relative deathtrap compared to the other, that will be reflected in the rates.

The 93 may well have better occupant crash protection than the 88.

I would check to see if there were differences in the policy between the 93 and the 88. eg. theft, $ liability, collision...

If there are no differences to the policies, then you are being screwed.

actually the policy on the 88 has less coverage then i had on the 93.. at least in a couple months i'll have one less ticket and can go to a normal insurance company

yep it was an Si... the funniest part though is that they had to send someone to my house to take pics of my 93... so i had to bust my *** one weekend making it look stock... so i did and they picked up on all the little things like steering wheel and shift **** even and rims, asked me about the value and said i may not be covered cause of those items??

on this car they just ask me on the phone so is it modified and called it a day... since its an 88 and has no book value they asked me and i even told them i didn't actually pay for it i trade a playstation for it... when will it end
